My scholars are working to gain confidence and skills to be proficient thinkers, readers, writers and mathematics. Many of these scholars have a dynamic attention span which can make it challenging to stay focused while sitting in a chair or on the carpet. The goal of this project is to help provide alternative seating options for students to try so that they can wiggle or move their lower body while learning. The K-Motion Stools, Balance Balls and Wobble Seats will offer students autonomy, flexibility and movement options to help enhance their confidence and engagement. We will flexibly use the stools to collaborate and learn around our class space to help maximize our 30-minute instructional blocks.
