Using a Chromebook without a mouse is hard for younger students; many of them are still learning how to use a computer and using a mousepad on the computer is frustrating, especially when clicking and dragging or highlighting words, etc. A wireless mouse will help limit frustrations for my students (especially my Learning Support students) and there will be less wires for the students to trip over or rip. Differentiation of instruction is key in successful education! Headphones are essential when students are working independently, because they are all working at a different pace and level. Wearing headphones also limits the distractions for those students not working on the computer or who need quiet time to process and learn. Headphones will help limit those distractions, while providing the students working on the computer with a quality educational experience (because they will be able to hear the instruction at the needed volume level that they may not be able to use without headphones).
