By adding tablets to my classroom, students will have more access to reading in a differentiated manner. Students can learn their letters and sounds, while others practice newly learned sight words, and yet again others can read beginner level books independently. If you've ever spent any amount of time with a five year old or two, you will know just how demanding and completely different their needs can be. Now, apply that idea to the all-important learning needs of 23 students! The demand can be greater than one person can manage. But, with the availability of digital learning teachers like myself can have a greater impact on their students. I plan to use student devices to differentiate learning for the individual needs of all my students while I work with small groups to teach to the specific needs of all. I am excited for the opportunity to enrich the lives of all the little people with which I have the honor to work.
