In the state of Utah we are required to have students use 2 different online programs, and program needs a keyboard. We are also required by our district to use 2 more online programs, and each of these also need a keyboard. The total requirement is 130 minutes a week on all four online programs. Our district has provided a computer cart with 30 Chromebooks for each grade level of each school, but as of last year and continuing onto this year, we have to share those computers with 5 classes- over 125 students. Not everyone can use the computers and get in those requirements during school, and therefore some of the assignments are given as homework. Unfortunately not all students have access to computers at home either. I would rather not assign the online programs as homework and do them in school, but I need at least 6 chrome books in order to make that possible. By donating to my project, this gets me closer to having my own class set of computers.
