It is important to have a designated gathering area in the classroom. This area is a place where students collaborate, as well as put their thoughts together to engage in their learning. This rug will provide a visual for where we gather to learn together in our classroom. It will help students focus more on our learning, as opposed to where they choose to sit during instructional times. This will also provide a pop of color in our classroom and create a more welcoming classroom environment. This rug will also spark the curiosity within my students. I anticipate conversations about our country's states.
