All students seem to love hands-on learning and especially love anything messy. I am attempting to bring painting to my elementary students that do not have an art classroom. My students love to do these more involved projects that are quite difficult to do without an art room. I want my students to get first hand experience with color mixing and creating their very own paintings. I feel that my students will be lacking in their fine arts education if they never get to use an important and fun medium like paint. The two drying racks that I want to purchase are the last steps for getting our painting unit going. I have gotten donations of Tupperware for water (again no art room, so no sinks) and have a whole cart setup just for painting. I am hoping to get these drying racks so that our art program can continue to grow and give my students a love of the arts.
