Our elementary school's library uses a desktop printer to print spine and Accelerated Reading labels to be attached to new books received. It is also used to print out reading awards for students and many other important documents. Our current printer has had the gears stripped and will not feed the paper through for printing anymore. In order to print labels or any other important information, staff must leave the library and go to a work room several yards away. With only one librarian, this can sometimes be detrimental to students' check out needs. Our library has received some new books that we have not been able to label yet which means the students have not been able to read them. If we could get a new printer for our library, the efficiencies gained would be tremendous! It would be such a time saver to be able to print labels and other important documents immediately for our library.
