I am requesting two LEGO Mindstorm EV3 sets for students to practice computer programing, civil engineering, and other STEM skills. These kits will be used to keep the school's LEGO Robotics team alive. The school has had a team in the past as part of the after school program but it ended last year. The after school program took all of their Legos with them, so now we have a team with no robots! Students at this school come from low income households with limited access to the materials needed to explore STEM skills. By funding this project you will be providing opportunities for students to find out they can do more than they ever imagined. They will learn that they can always imagine more, explore more, and excel more.
