Our students will be working to create art to enhance our program area. The rolls of paper from Richeson Butcher Paper will be used to make a really cool project in which the kids will measure their arms, legs, feet, etc. and draw themselves on the paper with their measurements being made of yarn and paint for the body. Upon completion, our kids will be able to look at their work and be proud of what they have created. These art projects can be used to illustrate the fundamental math concepts being used. We will be using the concepts of geometric shapes, patterns, and symmetry for our art work. This rich and rewarding approach to mathmatics can lead our students to be more observant of the world around them and how math and art can impact our daily lives.
