With these new Chromebooks, my co-teacher and I hope to give our students the opportunity to share their thoughts and findings with the world! With technology, information can be easily shared with others. In addition, the students will have access to others' work to better inform their learning and the work they are doing through research. With the Chromebooks, my students will be able to write essays, collaborate with their peers, and have access to recent research, like real professionals while simultaneously teaching students about technology. In 6th grade, my colleagues and I support each other by helping better integrate our various subjects. While I am the special education English teacher, I am always helping students with science and vice versa. Often students will do labs in science, then I will assist in helping them write up their findings and help them put together their reports.
