Everyone knows that preschoolers are full of energy. The ability to find ways to engage preschoolers in sit down group activities can pose challenges. Storytelling can be a big part of children's lives. Using puppets to assist in telling a story quickly catches the attention of even the youngest active preschooler. Preschoolers are always eager to be able to pretend with puppets. I have seen many active preschoolers immediately sit down when puppets are part of the story. Having puppets to use with as many stories will allow the students the opportunity to increase their communication skills and also the ability to retell/sequence stories. The "Let's Talk! Storytelling Puppet sets would be a great tool to introduce my second language ECSE preschoolers to some of my favorite fairy tales.
