Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make choices that work best for them. During independent work times they choose a location in the classroom that works for them and allows them to focus. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them and helping them stay focused. When scholars make good choices, they are more engaged, and get more accomplished than when they are just sitting idle at their desks. Often times, students are distracted by others around them, and if they are in wobble seats, they can focus on their classwork.
