My students will be introduce to the color wheel, how to mix colors, create paintings using primary colors, complementary colors, and will continue painting during the school year. Some students mentioned to me that without a place to set their paintings to dry, it was very common to find them damage or not at all. Students felt discouraged and did not continue their work. Students need to know that their paintings will be protected, safe, and dry next time they come to class to continue working on them. A drying rack will make a difference in student progress, skills, and work. A drying rack is an integral part of the art room equipment. Besides, students will also learn to cooperate with each other to organize, remove and use the drying rack.
