My name is Rachael Clark, and I am part of a dynamic team of educators in the heart of Jackson, Tennessee. I teach fifth grade language arts with a dedicated team and am proud to educate 60 energetic ten and eleven year olds every day. We are Title 1 school, where all of our scholars eat free lunch, and where many of them do not come to school with supplies or materials the first few weeks. Many of them experience challenges that most adults have not encountered, and still come to school each morning "to learn." Most of our scholars have not left Jackson to see "what's out there," so we often plan trips and reach out to community members to fund them. The look of joy and wonder on their faces is worth every penny. Ultimately, any donation is instrumental to their success at Lincoln, as it contributes to their learning and the quality of experiences they enjoy that otherwise, they may not be afforded.
