While I have basic medical supplies that are provided in the health office, budget concerns have made it difficult to equip all schools with the emergency first aid and trauma kits that can help save lives in the event of a major medical event/mass casualty event at school. Safety is one of our primary concerns in schools nowadays! The more prepared we are, the more help we can be, in a time of emergency/crisis. Safe schools promote the protection of students from violence, exposure to weapons and threats, theft, bullying, and the sale or use of illegal substances on school grounds, but in the event of a mass trauma or emergency, having the proper equipment to deal with injuries is imperative! It's always better to be prepared for the worse, and hopefully never have to use that preparation, than to not be prepared at all.
