The use of technology along with basic supplies is an important part of the daily activities in my classroom, especially when using the Transmath program. As a first year teacher, I am in the unenviable position of building my classroom environment from the ground up. As an RSP/Strategies teacher, it is my job to use the Transmath program to bring my students closer to grade level before the rigors of the high school curriculum they will soon face. I have a very limited school budget to attain the necessary supplies my students will need to successfully navigate this program. We will use composition books to build our Transmath notebooks while also using technology during lessons. Tools such as rulers, glue, glue sticks, and scissors will be used daily. The electronic supplies I am requesting will allow me to deliver my lessons both efficiently and effectively while providing my students with the tools that will bring them closer to success. Having tools such as good speakers, a presentation remote, and a new mouse will allow me to teach my students effectively By donating to my project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether they have the materials needed to complete their daily work. In this technology literate world, updated technology will provide me with the tools I need to be the best teacher I can be!
