I need a variety of prizes and incentives to reward students for positive behavior choices and for meeting goals! Some 1st graders need extrinsic rewards to motivate them to do their best! I will use a behavior point card that gets signed at the end of each day when they have remembered to bring their homework folder to school and followed our classroom expectations such as be safe or be responsible. When they fill up their point card they pick a treat from the treasure box. I also use Class Dojo as an incentive. When students earn 20 points on this digital app, they get to choose something from the prize bucket! This helps keep them focused on working towards a tangible prize.
