My scholars come from homes where the loudest person is heard the most. They develop a habit of trying to be the loudest individual in the room. Loud environments are harmful to learning and collaborative work. I want to ensure that everyone in my classroom has a voice and an environment that can be productive. With the sound meter device scholars will begin to learn what a productive noise levels are. It is especially beneficial for scholars with disabilities that require quite places to work. To ensure that all scholars have an equal opportunity to learn and work collaboratively with one another.
