Our second grade classrooms has fully implemented Math Workshop in an effort to provide students with best teaching practices in order to prepare students with a 21st century education. Organization is vital when implementing Math Workshop and math rotations within an educational setting. Research shows that when learning centers and materials are strategically placed and organized within a classroom setting, there is a reduction in student distractions and an increase in student engagement resulting in increased learning. Our second grade classrooms are in need of math center stations to help organize math materials and manipulatives used by the students throughout the duration of the year to best support each child's understanding of mathematical concepts.
