Trikes are a solid playground staple on the Kindergarten playground. Kids will be strengthening their gross motor skills by riding trikes. The use of trikes on the Kindergarten playground require kids to use the fundamental skills of sharing and taking turns. Kids will also learn the rules of personal space with trikes as well. With roughly 165 kids in our Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten grade levels, we only have 6 trikes currently for students to use at recess time. With these trikes, kids will be able to engage in physical activity as well as using their socialization skills to play interactively with other kids.
