I have read so many blog posts and success stories from teachers who have provided various seating options for their students. It not only allows them to have a choice of where they sit, but it also gets them excited and confident in their learning. I have a variety of students in my classroom who have ADHD and other special needs that would benefit from the use of these seating options. Flexible seating encourages students to find a calm space that will keep them focused and eager to learn. During our independent work time, students are always sitting on the floor or under desks to do their work. Making sure that they are comfortable while working is the most important to keep them motivated to succeed. The wobble chairs are adjustable to fit the various table/desk heights in the classroom. The lap desks will give my students a comfortable seat and a sturdy working area where they can take it wherever they want to go in the classroom. When I give my students a choice, I see a tremendous difference in the outcome of their learning. I know that giving them these options of seating will boost their confidence in a positive way!
