Students are naturally inquisitive, and there is so much that those inquiring minds want to know! My students will be exploring scientific ideas and concepts in a very hands-on specific way this year! We are learning in a new Science program that will allow them to experience the changing earth in a classroom lab setting. For example, your donation of Plaster of Paris will become student made rocks that will aid them in learning about the effects of weathering and erosion on earth's landforms. All of the materials requested will help to enhance their learning as they become scientists (or come to realize that they are scientists already) by observing, asking questions, planning investigations, and completing experiments to answer those questions! Your help will give students to step out of the books and into the wonderful world of learning by exploration!
