I want to get a class set of wireless keyboards to use with our iPads, so students can learn and practice typing in the classroom. In 2nd grade, we take math tests online where students need to have basic keyboarding skills to be successful. I have seen 1st hand the frustration that goes along with taking the test, not because the students do not know the answers, but because they struggle with finding the appropriate keys to type their answers. Typing is a skill that will benefit my students now and in the future, and I want to provide my students with every opportunity to be successful. Not all of my students are exposed to computers and typing at home, so I want to give them access to technology to prepare them for the future. We all know technology isn't going anywhere anytime soon, so the sooner they learn, the better!
