The purpose of this project is to engage the students in their learning. My students and I will use this easel to participate in different reading activities. The easel will be used to not only write on but to also use magnetic letters! Students will be able to move from their seats and get involved. The magnetic letters will help the students become hands-on in developing their phonemic awareness and phonics skills. They will also help students visually see words being segmented and blended. The colorful bins will hold all magnets and markers so the students can be hands on in their learning! The easel is an important component in my classroom. It will give my students the ability to show ownership in what they do. Students love to get involved and this easel and magnetic letters will get them active while learning!
