My students sometimes have trouble sitting still in a traditional school chair. By offering flexible seating options, my students will have the opportunity to move while they work. Wobble seats and other flexible seating options, make the classroom environment more comfortable for young students and make learning more fun. First graders work best when they are beginning to demonstrate their independence. Please help my students exercise their independence within the classroom by making daily choices about seating. With many seating options, students can grab a wobble chair and work on the carpet, move around in their chair while they read, or find another quiet space in the classroom to work. The freedom to choose your work environment can be a powerful motivator.
