In a part of town known for violence and poverty, the students live in the middle of a 21st century world, but don't always have access to 21st century technology at home. Unfortunately, my kids don't at school either. I want to create experiences with real-world applications and 21st century relevance. These kids are creative, but the creativity is limited by their access to create digital and lasting memories. I want them to get to see themselves on screen, see themselves learning, being creative, and being entertaining at the same time. There is something special about seeing yourself on a screen and especially when the people that you normally watch on TV aren't the same color as you and don't have the same worries or issues.

About my class
