My students are just beginning their educational journey. They are excited about coming to school each day and eager to have new experiences. I want to be able to provide as many authentic learning experiences as possible to foster a love of learning. What better way to engage children than through play? Play is the work of a child, and the Pretend & Learn Center I imagine will be one that allows children to explore real life experiences role playing and social interactions with peers and teachers alike! By utilizing the standards outlined in the Frog Street Curriculum, my Dramatic Play Area will be transformed into Pretend & Learn Center! With the various materials to be provided through this fundraiser, students will be provided the opportunity experience various areas of development such as, social-emotional, language and communication, self-expression, early literacy, and math through an exploration of their imagination and social role playing.
