Many of my middle school students would read more often if they had greater access to exciting titles. Access to these OBOB book choices, and having easy access to technology for my most vulnerable readers, would do wonders to spark a renewed interest in reading for these middle readers. I have chosen these Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB) titles to encourage wider reading among genres for my students - many of whom might otherwise spend their time on social media instead of buried in a good book like all middle schoolers should be from time to time! The Chromebooks would be of great use particularly to my most vulnerable readers who benefit from Learning Ally, Tumblebooks, and other tech resources to access reading and writing about reading. These Chromebooks will also help all students in my class access technology for various reading an writing projects.
