Substitutes always tell me what a great class I have. They are right! My students have to work harder than most other students because of their various disabilities. School is hard for them, but they try their best every day. We have students with Autism, visual or hearing impairments, severe speech difficulties, fine and gross motor deficits, ADHD, anxiety and dyslexia. Some have already faced brain injuries, cancer, extreme premature birth, or years of having few people understand them. They have so many obstacles, and yet they come to school ready to learn every day. With our self-contained class setting and extra para support, we are able to help students with their emotional and learning struggles. Thank you for your help in providing them with opportunities within the classroom to meet their sensory needs and improve their academic and social skills. We appreciate the support.
