Providing each student in my classroom with a Dell Chromebook from Staples will enhance the dynamic nature through which I present content to my students. Teaching via technology will keep students engaged and excited about material that they are studying.
With enough Chromebook laptops for each student, my class will be able to conduct their own online research for in-class assignments. The Dell Chromebooks are also a vital resource for students with special needs. Having technology readily available offers great scaffolding opportunities for those students that need modifications or accommodations.
With individual Chromebooks in the classroom, I can give students greater choice in the content they choose to study. For example, instead of printing out one article for my students to read in class, I can provide them with a list of several to choose from on their Chromebooks. This opportunity for choice teaches students responsibility and helps them take ownership over their own learning.
