There’s something magical about second graders taking ownership for figuring stuff out. This is especially tough during our homebound public school instruction. Individualized learning supports each student's journey of understanding big ideas, like place value and strategizing different ways to compose the number 20. HappyNumbers gives my little learners differentiation with accountability. I cheer them on in their self-paced math adventures and help them learn how to take the next step without shortchanging them of personal accomplishment. It’s the gentle push for the must-do practice that evolves into the can-do attitude. The donations to this project will help increase my students' engagement, perseverance, and joy in math learning!
