Preschoolers explore volume, weight and measurement through sand and water play. By having two separate tables, we can do this with a variety of materials. Water play also lets us explore concepts such as sink and float and color changing. Water play allows us to explore key math and science topics that we will need to be successful later. It also helps us improve our social emotional skills as we learn to take turns, share and play together with our friends. It teaches us to follow directions and helps us to learn to be responsible with our belongings every day.
