I would like to use the book Wonder to teach important vocabulary, plot diagram, characterization, point of view, and more. We plan to use the book Night to teach a Holocaust unit including perspective, timelines, making inferences and predictions, etc. I love making connections to students’ lives using books. With Wonder, it is obvious you can teaching acceptance and the effects of bullying. With Night, it allows me to teach across the content including an important time of history. I can show students different concepts that people during that time went through and how they can relate to it today while living in the United States!
