When I overheard my students talking about the books in our school library, they shared how they couldn't find books they were interested in. Research shows that reading takes off when kids find topics they are interested in. Book 1 in a series, such as Endling the Last, is always exciting since students know what to read next. I also included a few book sets, such as The Last Kids On Earth, so student access is quicker than our book order system. A variety of books in our classroom library will put grade level books in student hands and in their homes.
