If my classroom receives the requested carpet, flexible seating, and magnetic easel, my students would have an advantage with a learning environment catered specifically to their needs. With the carpet, students would have a place to gather for morning meetings, mini-lessons, small group, and partner work. With the Gaiam Kids Stay-N-Play Children's Balance Ball, my students who sometimes struggle to sit in a chair would have an option that would help strengthen their core, thus helping them to focus better on instruction. With the magnetic easel my students would be able to manipulate magnetic letters to create words and magnetic words to create sentences aiding in their development of reading and spelling.
