Using this awesome compound microscope, students will get a view of their world from the microscopic perspective they have never seen before. They will learn about water quality in reference to the microorganisms that are found in it. We will explore microscopic parts of plants and insects. We will also observe microscopic life found in local water sources. I'm hoping to pique the students' curiosity in the field of environmental and life sciences. Most of my students have never seen a microscope. Once they are provided with a chance to explore using a microscope a whole new window of opportunities will open to them.
