My second graders come to me each year on different reading ability levels. The leveled reading books I need will give me an opportunity to provide guided reading lessons in a small group setting. The book sets will allow me to give reading instruction on students independent reading levels. This will promote fluency, comprehension, and other reading skills second graders must have to be successful. My students are like little sponges ready to absorb all they can through reading. The book sets I chose are fiction and nonfiction texts. My students are very curious and eager to gain new knowledge through reading. This will provide a variety of genres to help meet the interests of my learners. I feel confident that my students will see lots of growth using these leveled readers during guided reading lessons and during their independent reading time. It is my desire to give my students the best and your donations will be a great help with meeting this need!
