My Pre-K students need tablets to help them practice for 15 minutes each day building blocks math counting, sorting, interactive hands-on games. The tablet can help delayed speech and language development for English language learners who have trouble with vocabulary. Also accessibility to technology and its uses in the classroom for learning. We have a laptop, which they do not know how to use properly because it is not suitable for their little hands and they do not know have to maneuver it and get very frustrated. Each day students need to practice math concepts taught on using technology and we do not have enough to go around in our classroom. In addition, the Pre-K students enjoy interactive computer programs that will help them with vocabulary, concepts, and speech. This is a very important time in their lives when language and practice matters for them to do well moving forward.
