With all that is occurring in the world, the importance of the media has come to the forefront. It is critical for my students to be knowledgeable and informed about the world around them. They must understand that news comes from different sources. In addition, I want them to appreciate the hard work that it takes to be a journalist. I want my students to create a school news broadcast about issues and concerns of the school community. My students are opinionated and have great ideas of how they can help to make the world better. They will create a show that allows them to research and present their findings along with their opinions.
