Adults with Autism have a difficult time finding work or placements after graduation. With this machine, we can create our own sellable items such as water bottles, canvas bags, shirts, mugs etc. My students will then learn, the machine skill, money skills, decision making, problem solving, pride and satisfaction. These items will be extremely beneficial for my students present and future in becoming more independent and successful in life. In the past I have run successful life skills programs, teaching meal prep, volunteering, working on career skills and other life skills. My current group of students need more support and this machine allows them to be able to press the buttons of the shapes they want cut out as opposed to having to cut with assistance. They will also be able to create items to support the school by making autism awareness items!
