I would like to do two book studies with my class this year. My class is a special education class and most of my students are below grade level in reading. I would like to give my class an opportunity to read these two books as a class and break them down and study them. In order for my students to get the full benefit of the book study, they each need a copy to use while we read it together. El Deafo is graphic novel that will be our first book study to get the students into a book study. This book allows them to build a personal connection with the main character, who is deaf.
