By using Read, Reason, Write: An Argument Text and Reader, my students will have access to updated MLA materials and texts to help them write their college essays. They will learn the power of language while reading inspirational speeches and essays, and they will learn important strategies to help build their research-based arguments for this rigorous English 106 course. Regardless of their major, writing effectively to communicate will be an integral part of their future coursework and eventual career choice. These textbooks will provide my students with diverse viewpoints on topics important to our world today. They will complete the class with a better understanding of how to think critically and write for various audiences.
