I am a first-year teacher and I am quickly learning that sixth graders are squirrelly and need a way to release energy! I was gifted 10 lap desks, and the ability to sit on the floor and work has been a game changer for my students. Very few of my students work well in their desk and need a variety of options to stay focused. Ball chairs, stools, and seat cushions will provide the variety they need. Hyper students can create a distraction unless given an outlet. Fidgets and seat bands will allow a quiet and discreet distraction for all of my students. I have 10 fidgets in my room that I rotate through students. They help every student in the room stay on task! I would love to have enough for all of my students.
