One of the biggest single improvements a language teacher can make is to have an extensive classroom library full of interesting books from a variety of series and on a variety of topics. That's the library I'm building. I want students to *want* to read because they're interested in the stories and topics that they're reading about. Reading for pleasure is a major way that English Learners can gain the necessary amount of input, and I want my classroom to be ready with all kinds of interesting input through books. I want to buy books from a variety of fiction and non-fiction series that will be interesting to my English Learners.
