This year my returning Computer Science students will be focusing on web design, digital journalism and video communication. This camera will be used throughout the year by all students to help document all the ins and outs of our school. They are the first students to be able to write and publish our school newspaper and they would love to have a high quality camera to use to help portray all of the wonderful things happening at our school. Having this opportunity is a great way for our students to showcase their many talents. So many of these students excel in the area of computer science, specifically in video production. Last year many students entered contests showcasing our school through pictures and video, but struggled to get the images and video shots they really needed due to lack of resources. Having this camera for them to use would be such a great help. As the year ended, one thing they all vocalized was that they wanted to make sure this opportunity was not taken for granted, and that meant putting forth all their effort to make sure it was done with 100 percent effort. Being the first students to created and edit our first school newspaper is a huge honor, and I truly want them to have all the things they need to make it as great as they can.
