In my paperless classroom, I am trying to combat the stigma that technology promotes negative antisocial behavior in our youth. The goal is to incorporate more mobile collaborative work opportunities in a social studies classroom so students develop better relationships with peers as well as instructors while learning important concepts relating to government, history, economics, and civics. The world is centered around technology and the ability to utilize it in a variety of formats, so I am not only wanting my students to learn and better understand topics relating to social studies, but I want to prepare them for the real-world centered around socialization and technological skills.
