My students' favorite days are they days that we spend outside, working in the garden and making observations. They love finding insects and discovering new plants. We are working on using our five senses to carefully observe our discoveries. If we had an iPad, the students could use it to take pictures of the plants, insects, and other interesting things that they find, and then we could use an app like iNaturalist to identify them. We can also use the iPad for inside investigations, like for researching historical weather data, or hooking it up to a temperature probe during experiments.
