Using stretched canvas and acrylic paint will make a difference in my students learning. My students are used to using tempera paint and paper. They can wrinkle the paper and trash it. However when they use canvas, they will feel that they have gotten to the next level. They will feel special and put all of their effort into their painting. My students will feel that their art looks professional and they will feel like true artists. We have great artists and sometimes the supplies available limits them in their creativity. I want them to be able to experiment and have art pieces that are worth putting in their portfolio for college.
