My students are English language learners from all over the world but primarily they reside from Eastern Europe and Mexico. Many of my students in the primary years are experiencing school for the first time and many ELL students are first generation U.S. citizens. Parents have moved specifically to our school district to be a part of our community. The school has had a recent renaissance and there is a contagious energy throughout our building from the children, parents, and staff. To keep the momentum and to continue developing academic excellence, our school must have strong resource programs to ensure all children are helped and given the support they need. If our school plans to keep its ELL population thriving and actively seeking involvement in our school, it is essential that our ELL program is properly funded with engaging learning materials and opportunities to ensure growth and fun!
