All of these materials will help us expand past drawing and paper crafts into new media in the art room! Students will able to develop spatial skills in sculpture, design skills in printmaking, and color theory in watercolors. These are art techniques and skills that these students have not been introduced to -let alone mastered. In my first year, I plan to expand their awareness from the art room to the whole world. Starting with Australia, we will move to Japan for printmaking with the print blocks and construction paper, France with the pan water colors, then continue to India for ceramics using the clay and glazes, and we continue moving through monthly units in each country until the end of the year. We will build cultural awareness as we explore different countries through the arts. The materials you donate will contribute to broadening horizons and mindsets in the art room and in the school as a whole!
